IEHP’s Performance Scores High
IEHP consistently meets or exceeds stringent national standards of excellence for health care service delivery.
HEDIS Scores
IEHP’s Health Employer Data and Information Set (HEDIS) scores continue to soar. HEDIS is a set of standardized performance measures related to significant public health issues, customer service, access to care, and claims possessing.
IEHP ranks in the 90th percentile for effective care in areas related to disability or chronic conditions:
● Controlling high blood pressure
● Monitoring kidney complications associated with diabetes
● Appropriate use of medications for asthma
“Our scores are an achievement that all IEHP Team Members, Physicians and Hospitals can be very proud of,” said IEHP CEO Richard Bruno. “The philosophies of excellence associated with these scores are stringent and complex so earning the higher levels of success verifies an overall commitment to improve the quality of care delivery.”
The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), the foremost performance monitoring and grading authority in the United States, developed and employs HEDIS to measure the quality of care delivered by managed care plans. The California Department of Health Services (CDHS) also uses HEDIS to assess how well its contracted health plans deliver health services to Medi-Cal beneficiaries.
